Aggie cycling with demo doll in bike seatDo you want to get out on your bike with your little one, but just a little apprehensive? We can help!

In partnership with Cycling UK, we are offering introductory sessions where you can practice cycling with your little one, use our demo dolls to get a feel for the weight on the back before trying, and even borrow a bike seat or trailer.

Don’t have a bike? We can offer discounted bike hire at the Hub.

The sessions will involve a period of skills practice in an off road, safe space with dolls or your child, then a short off road ride to get your confidence up. Led by a British Cycling trained ride leader.

Booking is essential, as places are strictly limited. For more information  email Aggie

Otherwise, book your ticket, baby seat or bike below below.

Please wear comfortable clothing that won’t get caught in your chain, and dress yourself and your baby appropriately for the weather. Bear in mind that baby will be stationary and subject to windchill, so please dress them warmly. We strongly recommend the use of helmets for all participants of the ride.

The purpose of this session is not to teach you to ride, only to build your confidence in cycling with a little one. If you need cycling lessons, and live in Newcastle, contact Cycling in the City

Our bike seats are suitable from 9 months, and our trailers from 12 months. Please arrive fifteen minutes earlier if you are borrowing our seats or trailers, to get them set up on your bike.

Children pedalling on bikes are welcome along too, but will need a participants ticket.

Tickets are free.
